With over 23 years experience in the freelance graphic design business, Joni McPherson has designed for almost every marketing and advertising media and for businesses ranging in size from the newly self-employed to the Minnesota Twins.

Prior to starting McPherson Graphics, she received a bachelor of fine arts degree in graphic design, painting and drawing from Drake University and was then employed at a number of businesses as a graphic designer and art director.

Working with marketing experts taught Joni the importance of creating designs that sell the product or service. She also learned the practical aspects of design — preparing artwork that will print well and be readable and how to deliver workable files to printers and Web Masters.

Joni lives in rural Iowa with her husband, Kim. When she's not at the computer working on graphic design projects, she enjoys drawing (see the fine art page), designing and making quilts, gardening and riding her horses.
